CONTINUING COVERAGE - Strange Sounds Gains Ground - Geophysicist Validates Claims

Scientist: “Sounds of the Apocalypse” Are Real Phenomena! - Renowned Geophysicist Says Strange Sky Sounds Are Real
Posted by D.E. Paine

Dr. Elchin Khalilov, a geophysicist and a professor in Azerbaijan [map], has been conducting research into the recent wave of strange sky sounds.
Dr. Khalilov refers to the phenomena as “sky hum.” As a geophysicist, he has become intrigued by the numerous reports and recording of the sky sounds. While others in the research community might be inclined to dismiss the whole thing as nonsense, Dr. Khalilov has been working with other researchers to explain what might be causing it.

In a recent article at GeoChange Journal (geochangemag.org), Dr. Khalilov responded to some questions about the sky hum phenomena.

Mr. Khalilov, what is the nature of the unusual very low-pitched sounds reported by a great number of people in different parts of the planet since the summer of 2011? Many call them “The Sound of the Apocalypse”. Information about that comes from all over the world: US, UK, Costa Rica, Russia, Czech Republic, Australia, etc.

“We have analyzed records of these sounds and found that most of their spectrum lies within the infrasound range, i.e. is not audible to humans. What people hear is only a small fraction of the actual power of these sounds. They are low-frequency acoustic emissions in the range between 20 and 100 Hz modulated by ultra-low infrasonic waves from 0.1 to 15 Hz. In geophysics, they are called acoustic-gravity waves; they are formed in the upper atmosphere, at the atmosphere-ionosphere boundary in particular. There can be quite a lot of causes why those waves are generated: earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, hurricanes, storms, tsunamis, etc. However, the scale of the observed humming sound in terms of both the area covered and its power far exceeds those that can be generated by the above-mentioned phenomena.”

In that case, what could be causing this humming in the sky?

“In our opinion, the source of such powerful and immense manifestation of acoustic-gravity waves must be very large-scale energy processes. These processes include powerful solar flares and huge energy flows generated by them, rushing towards Earth’s surface and destabilizing the magnetosphere, ionosphere and upper atmosphere. Thus, the effects of powerful solar flares: the impact of shock waves in the solar wind, streams of corpuscles and bursts of electromagnetic radiation are the main causes of generation of acoustic-gravitation waves following increased solar activity.

“Given the surge in solar activity as manifested itself in the higher number and energy of solar flares since mid-2011, we can assume that there is a high probability of impact of the substantial increase in solar activity on the generation of the unusual humming coming from the sky. It should be pointed out that solar activity began to rise sharply since early 2011, with its amplitude significantly higher than all forecasts given by a number of influential scientific institutions in 2010 and 2011. Meanwhile, the observed increase in solar activity is fully consistent with the forecast of the International Committee GEOCHANGE published in the Committee’s Report in June 2010. If this growth rate of solar activity continues, its amplitude by the end of 2012 will be higher than the amplitude of 23rd solar cycle, and in 2013-2014 the solar activity will reach its peak the amplitude of which was predicted by us to be 1.5 – 1.7 times higher than the amplitude of the 23rd cycle.”

But you said that the cause of the “sky hum” can lie within Earth’s core as well, what does it mean?

“There is one more possible cause of these sounds and it may lie at the Earth’s core. The fact is that the acceleration of the drift of the Earth’s north magnetic pole which increased more than fivefold between 1998 and 2003 and is at the same level today points to intensification of energy processes in the Earth’s core, since it is processes in the inner and outer core that form the Earth’s geomagnetic field. Meanwhile, as we have already reported, on November 15, 2011 all ATROPATENA geophysical stations which record three-dimensional variations of the Earth’s gravitational field almost simultaneously registered a powerful gravitational impulse. The stations are deployed in Istanbul, Kiev, Baku, Islamabad and Yogyakarta, with the first and last one being separated by a distance of about 10,000 km. Such a phenomenon is only possible if the source of this emanation is at the Earth’s core level. That huge energy release from the Earth’s core at the end of the last year was some kind of a start signal indicating the transition of the Earth’s internal energy into a new active phase.

“Intensification of the energy processes in the Earth’s core can modulate the geomagnetic field which, through a chain of physical processes at the ionosphere – atmosphere boundary level, generates acoustic-gravity waves the audible range of which has been heard by people in the form of a frightening low-frequency sound in different parts of our planet.

“In both cases, even though the causes of acoustic-gravity waves are of a quite understandable geophysical nature, they are indicative of the expected significant increase in solar activity and the geodynamic activity of our planet. There is no doubt that processes in the core rule the internal energy of our planet, therefore, we should expect by the end of 2012 a sharp rise in strong earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis and extreme weather events with peak levels in 2013 – 2014.”

UPDATED 2012 - The Year the World heard Strange Noises

"Dread is the first and strongest of the...kinds of fear. It is that tension, that waiting that comes when you know there is something to fear but you have not yet identified what it is. The fear that comes when you first realize that your spouse should have been home hours ago; when you hear a strange sound in the baby's bedroom; when you realize that a window you are sure you closed is now open, the curtains billowing, and you're alone in the house.”
-Orson Scott Card

The strange noises that are being heard all over the world are oddly reminiscent of the Tom Cruise War of the Worlds remake. Actually, they almost seem the same- with very little variation (I’m ignoring the ones that seem obviously fake- I.E. the one with the windows noises, the one with the laughing- etc) to be honest.

Here's a clip from War of the Worlds..

And this is one of the more popular noise videos..

And another video...

And another...

I'm just gonna keep going..

&& there's a ton more.. with new videos being added each day.

Here's two new ones..

The good people at ATS have a lot of experience in hoaxes and methods of debunking them, and average people can also chime in theories that seem pertinent [Here is the full link to the ATS Strange Noises Thread], and the strange noises thread has been one of the more discussed topics this week. User explanations of the sounds have included but are not limited to: complete Hoax, Cloverfield 2 marketing campaign, Ionosphere noises(wait.. what?), noises from the Sun, power line noise, snowplows, computer game audio, the Earths core shutting down, NASA fear-mongering, H.A.A.R.P. experiments, and oh yea, how could I forget- the Annunaki.

Personally, mind you I am not an 'expert' debunk-er, I think that
1. Hoaxes/Natural noises - Far too many videos to really concretely prove
2. Marketing - Yea... Sure, in tiny towns in the middle of nowhere. If they did this it would be localized to the biggest market, in bigger towns, where they could scare large amounts of people at once.
3. Ionosphere/Sun/Venus Noises - Isn't it one of the fundamentals of space that No one can hear you Scream?
4. Fear-mongering- The Illuminati / Annunaki are still on my to do list
5. Experiments - Possible, but still unlikely as H.A.A.R.P. has been active for some time now and these noises are becoming a 2011-2012 active event.
6. The Earth's Core - Very, very, interesting theory, impossible to really prove.

The Strange Noises of 2012 is the new Mass Animal Die offs of 2011.

Is it just me or does it look like the Strange Noises Map is just a Mass Animal Death Map.. spreading?

Some of the strange 'facts' surrounding these events include a Mayor complaining about late night phone calls from citizens concerned about the noise, an 'Expert Scientist' that says shit like "It may be" and "It's probably..", a plethora of removed/disabled videos concerning these noises. Like in so many instances, it seems like someone is hiding something.. but the bigger question is- Who?

Perhaps the most interesting thing about this whole noise phenomena is Steven Hawking's War of the Worlds, after all Hawking has openly said that we will one day see the things in his remake- and now.. We are beginning to hear them.

"May the forces of Evil become confused on the way to your house."

Hurricanes on Speed - The Hypercane

The hypercane theory was an accident, the StumbleUpon of the 90s. Kerry Emanuel, a professor at MIT was just trying to figure out what the highest intensity an ordinary hurricane could reach, but he found something entirely different instead. Emanuel, with his research team which included Nobel laureate Mario Molina, found that instead of hurricanes just getting warmer and creating new levels in the Safir-Simpson scale the intensity simply skyrocketed. The sudden jump in their models required them to classify it as an entirely different storm, thus creating the Hypercane.

So what exactly is a hypercane?

A hypercane is a theoretical extreme tropical cyclone of massive proportions that are caused by an extreme heating of the ocean in a particular area, probable causes being a direct impact from an asteroid or a significant underwater volcanic eruption.

During 1980 Physicist Luis Alvarez and Geologist son Walter Alvarez found something that supported the hypercane theory when searching the rock layers of the KT Boundary*. In the rock they found embedded in the layers of clay, something they didn’t expect. Extremely high levels of iridium, something not even commonly found on the surface of Earth- a platinum metal that is usually only found in asteroids and meteorites. And it was everywhere, all over the globe at the KT boundary ridiculously high levels of iridium were found. The only plausible explanation? .. An impact with Earth, and a big one at that. They estimated that something around 6 miles wide hit the Earth, causing the iridium to be spread globally, they also estimated that the crater would be about 100 kilometers in diameter.

And Glen Penfield had found just that while searching for oil, a monstrous crater underwater in the Yucatan Peninsula, The Chicxulub Crater.
The Chicxulub Crater Impact Site

I have to be honest with you- Who knows if we will even be around to see conditions optimal for creating hypercanes happen, and if they did how much warning we would even get… if we got any at all. But hey, it happened once, and it could most certainly happen again. I for one hope it doesn’t, cause then it’d be slim pickings dating wise.. and I don’t wanna have to repopulate the Earth- as my uterus kind of takes a liking to not being bombarded. For the foreseeable future though, we’ll just be stuck with slightly intensified storm seasons, with a lot more big ones. Always remember, if you see a storm that looks like it’s is going to hit near you or is tracked to do so- get out of there! .. And don’t forget to tie your laces before you start running like hell.

Who am I kidding though? If it were me, I’d be riding it out. Irene was cool, but I want a real hurricane. If one came I would most certainly stay behind to actually experience it.. but you have to remember that I’m Disaster Girl. If a major category hurricane came around I would also be very prepared, and not drunk like the other folks who’d ended up staying behind. I’d have a sweet boat, a life jacket, a water-resistant camera, scuba tanks and really do it right. None of that “I’m a survivor. I can do it with no supplies.” bullshit. Preparation is everything, and if you go at it with nothing you likely ended up being the dude that the coast guard has to spend hours rescuing (that is if they find you). You’ll go down in history as being the guy that decided it was a better idea to ride the current than actually grab onto something other than your IKEA sofa cushion.

The Collective Unconscious, The Maya, The Dim Witted Humans - 2012

"But do we really live? To live without knowing what life is - is that living?"
-Fernando Pessoa

This New Year’s Eve I really opened my eyes and observed the human species (well- New Yorkers anyway.. they’re human right?) in their present environment behaving as naturally as they could. I’m used to finding genuine people scattered randomly amongst the conformist and pessimists I usually encounter, people who are content. People doing little things.. Little things that really have the power to change a world. It wasn’t a night for politeness and random acts of kindness though- to the contrary I found I was quite baffled by the amount of disgust and disappointment I felt in the people I was observing.

The New Year is supposed to signify a fresh start, an awakening, a time to leave the past in the past and look to the future- but time really is linear and when comparing a life span to the age of the universe, human life happens in an instant. Now I don’t know if it was the luck of the draw but I had the pleasure of spending my new years with a bunch of Winners, and I do mean that in the Charlie Sheen sense. Apparently, everyone I had met had decided that instead of their typical do-gooder resolutions their new resolutions this year would be to be better Racists, Bigots, and utter Douchasaurus-es. I got a firsthand look at the very things that will lead to our demise as a species, all self-induced might I add.

What did I see? Somber technology junkies. Complaint-aholics with little to no appreciation. People rushing their lives to meet an early grave. People so disappointed with everything they become instigators. Greedy- yet-totally-cheap-ers. Living-but-lifeless individuals tied up in their own subconscious.. A place no one should be confined to for long periods- especially when you exhibit one or more of the aforementioned qualities.

I walked around Hell’s Kitchen for a while, (ahh.. the irony) and the city was breathtaking. The buildings were lit up, the street was quiet and calm which surprised me, and the weather was the best you could ask for on a December night in the Big Apple. It was the first time in a long time that I was actually appreciating the city, the night had a sense of newness to it. I felt good, I was happy and I was looking forward to taking it in for a while before I got ready to bring in the new year. And then humanity showed up.

First I went to get a drink at the corner bodega, I needed a caffeine fix until party time. The store was pretty big and the Arab man who was working there apparently felt I needed to be followed and watched while shopping, you know.. because I’m obviously going to drink my coffee, go bat-shit crazy, and try to rob/kill him.

Mind you.. This is what I pretty much looked like, only better dressed.
Obviously I have a 9mm tucked into my pants and am going to ruin your evening.

But nevertheless I trekked on. I decided to sit in the park on ninth for a bit and drink my coffee and secretly smoke a couple cigarettes, because this is America- but I am not free to smoke where I please anymore. This country got rich off tobacco products and hide the information about just how poisonous the product is yet I am the one punished for it. In the park there was a group of preteen girls obsessing over their divinity. I realized as I was listening that the godliness they were referring to was in fact just sexual depravity in disguise. It didn’t really surprise me though after all I heard two fifteen year olds discussing blow jobs on the bus last week.

I left the park and started heading to Port Authority so I could go home and get ready for the night. Heading there was uneventful, other than the thousands of police officers I passed while walking ten blocks. A night of fun in the city usually requires the entire concerted efforts of the NYPD, but in a post 9/11 New York City- trust issues are yesterday’s news. I got to Port Authority and headed for a long line of pissed off, tired, agitated people. The man in front of me was an elderly Vietnamese man, who although was wearing a scowl- seemed as though he had quite a pep in his step. Directly in front of him was a Chinese family, which I could tell because of the countless hours my daughter spends watching Ni Hao Kai Lan.

After about ten minutes of us being on line the Chinese family leaves to, I assume, get a different bus or something. As they walked away the Vietnamese man pretended to pull a machete (at least that’s what I imagined) out of his waistband and air-decapitate them all as they walked down the stairs. A Chinese family, with two young kids. He also made no attempt in hiding this action.

I got on the bus and sat as far away from the Vietnamese man as I possibly could. I had given up my hope of seeing a drastic change in the love, compassion, and kindness people have and show. World Peace? Not on the menu this year, Miss America. And just when I thought it couldn’t get any worse…

I was confronted with this.

I was feeling extremely daunted about the prospective future of this species. These people are the products of this society, and if they’re this fucked up.. Are the rest of us too? We’re disarrayed and even with all those neatly paved roads under our neatly tied shoes… we’re lost and we don’t know which direction to go in. But this is good hopefully. The fact that we recognize the unrest within our species shows that the collective unconscious is awakening and becoming more apparent in everyone.

C. G. Jung’s Definition of the Collective Unconscious

The collective unconscious is a part of the psyche which can be negatively distinguished from a personal unconscious by the fact that it does not, like the latter, owe its existence to personal experience and consequently is not a personal acquisition. While the personal unconscious is made up essentially of contents which have at one time been conscious but which have disappeared from consciousness through having been forgotten or repressed, the contents of the collective unconscious have never been in consciousness, and therefore have never been individually acquired, but owe their existence exclusively to heredity. Whereas the personal unconscious consists for the most part of complexes, the content of the collective unconscious is made up essentially of archetypes.

The concept of the archetype, which is an indispensable correlate of the idea of the collective unconscious, indicates the existence of definite forms in the psyche which seem to be present always and everywhere. Mythological research calls them "motifs"; in the psychology of primitives they correspond to Levy-Bruh's concept of "representations collectives," and in the field of comparative religion they have been defined by Hubert and Mauss as "categories of the imagination." Adolf Bastian long ago called them "elementary" or “primordial thoughts." From these references it should be clear enough that my idea of the archetype - literally a pre-existent form - does not stand alone but is something that is recognized and named in other fields of knowledge.

My thesis, then, is as follows: In addition to our immediate consciousness, which is of a thoroughly personal nature and which we believe to be the only empirical psyche (even if we tack on the personal unconscious as an appendix), there exists a second psychic system of a collective, universal, and impersonal nature which is identical in all individuals. This collective unconscious does not develop individually but is inherited. It consists of pre-existent forms, the archetypes, which can only become conscious secondarily and which give definite form to certain psychic contents.

I find it amusing that the collective unconscious has chosen to become more prevalent in the “end times”. The Maya’s were a truly astounding civilization with an unprecedented knowledge of the cosmos, something they literally had no reason or tools to involve themselves in in the first place. And while the actual translations of what the Maya said would happen at the end of their calendar year (End of Baktun) are often misconstrued or assumed- the thing the Maya were warning us about was and will always be very simple.

The Maya believed that the end of each baktun was a moment of great danger, a moment at which their ‘Gods’ could end the world. The creator Maya deity being Itzamna or Hanub Ku, a God who had created three worlds, two of which he had already destroyed through a deluge and was destined to destroy the third with a universal flood as well(ours). The Maya believed that these wiped out civilizations were failed attempts, the first being dwarfs and the second being a mysterious group known as “The Offenders”, the human species being just another design error.

It is very easy for humans to acknowledge and even believe in this stuff, as we are very primitive with our beliefs. Add the fact that we are lost, hate everyone & everything, and enjoy seeing others suffer- and we practically beg for humanities demise. The majority of us believe there is some outside force that ultimately decides our fate, and there's no place like a bible for an good old apocalypse scenario. So would it really be so ludicrous to think that perhaps the Maya were there to see the beginning, or at least around early enough to know what the beginning was? We are all obsessed with the big question- “What is the meaning of life?“ Could it be death? Could we just be a stepping stone to something else? And if that’s so what the fuck man, I mean really?

This year is big. So much is changing. So much is going on. There are revolutions. There is war. There is famine. There is greed. There is disdain. We are lost, we feel hopeless, and we could be giving up. When the end game is unclear, you don’t know what kind of effect your actions can have. A simple assumption can cause the extinction of a species.

"Circling The Drain" with George Carlin - Theoretical Interview on The End of the World*

We are winding down to our supposed "last days" here on Earth, and while I've always felt that the human species was nearing the end of its road.. I can't help but think of what's behind it all. The myths, prophecies, science, history, and pessimism behind the apocalypse of the human species are really quite interesting things. There are many people who actually revel the idea that our species is coming to an end, citing that humans as a whole have squandered the gifts they were given. Some of these people, like George Carlin, are very open and honest concerning our demise. Carlin, with his comic humor and unique opinions has informed many people just how real these things are in an unabashed, no line left uncrossed, Chew-On-This sort of way. He made people laugh at something that completely terrifies them, which is a feat not many can claim.

INTERVIEW WITH CARLIN

1. So George, Is there a future here?
George: [Does it really matter?] .. The future will soon be a thing of the past.

2. Advice to the human species?
George: Leave nature alone, haven't we done enough? Save the planet? We can't even take care of ourselves yet, we haven't learned how to take care of one another, and we're gonna save the fucking planet? I'm tired of that shit. You know what they're interested in a clean place to live, their own habitat, they're worried that some day in the future that they might be personally inconvenienced.

3. That's very true. Do you think that there is something wrong with Earth? That we hurt it majorly in someway that will destroy it?
George: There is nothing wrong with the planet. The planet is fine, the people are fucked. Compared to the people- the planet is doing great, been here four and a half billion years. Did you ever think about the arithmetic? The planet has been here four and a half billion years and we've been here what.. a hundred thousand? ..maybe two hundred thousand? and we've only been engaged in heavy industry for a little over two hundred years. Two Hundred Years VS Four and a Half Billion. And we have the conceit to think that somehow we're a threat? That somehow we're going to put in jeopardy this beautiful little blue green ball that's just a-floating around the sun? The planet has been through a lot worse then us.

4. Worse in what regards?
George: [It's] Been through all kinds of things worse than us. [It's] Been through earthquakes, volcanoes, plate techtonics, continental drifts, solar flares, sun spots, magnetic storms, the magnetic reversal of the poles.. Hundreds of thousands of years of bombardment by comets, asteriods and meteors. Worldwide floods, tidal waves, worldwide fire, erosion, cosmic rays, recurring ice ages.. and we think some plastic bags and aluminium cans are going to make a difference? The planet isn't going anywhere, We are.

5. So you think the human species as a whole is coming to an end?
George: [Yes.] We're going away. Pack your shit folks.

6. Do you think that the human species or anything we've "accomplished" matters?
George: [No.] We won't leave much of a trace either, thank god for that. Maybe a little styrofoam... maybe. The planet will be here, and we'll be long gone. Just another failed mutation, just another closed end biological mistake, an evolutionary culdesac... the planet will shake us off like a bad case of fleas, a surface nuissance.

7. How's the planet doing? Are people conceited in thinking that we are a threat?
George: You wanna know how the planet's doing? Ask those people in Pompeii who are frozen into position from volcanic ash how the planet's doing. Wanna know if the planet's all right ask those people in Mexico City or Armenia or a hundred other places buried under thousands of tons of earthquake material if they feel like a threat to the planet this week.

8. So you think people are just stupid when it comes to what nature is capable of? Can you give me an example?
George: [Yes.] How about those people in Kilauea Hawaii, who build their houses right next to an active volcano, and then wonder why they have lava in the living room.

9. Why do you dislike the human species so much?
George: [Because] I realized that I really didn't care about the outcome on this planet, I didn't care what happened to the human species. This is a species that was given great gifts and had great potential and squandered them. I think this species squandered them. I think it choose poor ways of organizing itself, socially and politically. I think it made a wrong turn when it came to buying the okidoke that the spirtual leaders gave, the high priest. We turned it over to the high priest and the traitors. It's commerce and religion that have ruined and spoiled the potential of this species. And in this country the same two things are true but this country is rite large and this country is the leader in the decay of the soul.. if you will.. I use that metaphorically, I just don't care what happens to this country.

10. It seems like the human species and America itself anger you, does it?
George: [It's not anger,] It's really a reflection of disappointment and disillusionment and being let down by my species.. you know. We had such great possibilities, and they're not being realized.

11. So you think religion is one of the main things that destroyed the human species, why do you think that?
George: [Because] Religion has convinced people that there’s an invisible man…living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a list of ten specific things he doesn’t want you to do. And if you do any of these things, he will send you to a special place, of burning and fire and smoke and torture and anguish for you to live forever, and suffer and burn and scream until the end of time. But he loves you. He loves you and he needs money. That kinda shit is very limiting. It's very limiting for this brain we have.

12. I agree, not a lot in religion makes any real sense. Were you ever religious? And if so, what was your religion?
George: Catholic — which I was until I reached the age of reason.

13. So you no longer believe in a supreme, all-knowing, perfect being?
George: How can he be perfect? Everything he ever makes...dies.

14. I never thought of it that way... So if you don't believe in a "God" you don't support the belief we are alone in this universe, correct?
George: If it’s true that our species is alone in the universe, then I’d have to say that the universe aimed rather low and settled for very little.

15. Does accepting the fact that the human species is ending, or how you like to call it circling the drain, depress you?
George: No, it lifts me up. ... Somehow I enjoy watching people suffer.

16. Why do you think that is?"
George: I revel in it. I am a critic of it all because I think it's a fascinating drama in self-destruction.

17. Could you explain "Circling the Drain" to my readers?
George: [As a species] We're at a nice downward glide, I call it circling the drain- and [If you watch a drain.. if you watch a sink..] the circles get smaller and smaller and faster and faster and ploop .. we'll be gone.

18. Do you think you've figured out the meaning of it all?
George: Just when I discovered the meaning of life, they changed it.

19. That's murphy's law for ya. Do you have your own philosophy?
George: [Yes.] I say, “Live and let live.” That’s my motto. “Live and let live.” Anyone who can’t go along with that, take him outside and shoot the motherfucker. It’s a simple philosophy, but it’s always worked in our family.

20. Thank you for your time it was a dream, Any parting words?
George: May the forces of evil become confused on the way to your house.

Hope you enjoyed this comic interview about our impending doom.
xoxo disaster girl

*The entire portion of this interview featuring George Carlin was created using actual Carlin quotes that fit actual questions that I would have asked him- had he still been alive, and if he actually let me interview him. It is not a real interview, and some parts are taken from actual interviews with Carlin that appear on the web. Any paraphrasing is likely just an error in me converting it from audio to text.
